He began singing Rock music, performing in several bands and as a solo artist, enjoying local success and gaining a significant following.

Phil Bloomberg, also known as Phil Polecat, is best known for his work with the rockabilly band The Polecats who gained prominence in the early 1980s with their energetic blend of rockabilly and punk influences.
